Recorded live at Loft, Cologne, 'Juan Playschool' is an introduction to Barnett's new lineup, based in Germany. Featuring three young stars of the German scene (Stefan Karl Schmid on tenor saxophone, David Helm on bass and Fabian Arends on drums), the album showcases Barnett's quirky compositional style and her always-energetic improvisations, as well as the band's clearly symbiotic relationship/s.
